Our School

Since the starting day, Saskatoon Misbah School is proud to teach Saskatchewan Curriculum as a core curriculum with Quran and Islamic Studies centered around Islamic Manners. Also, it teaches the basics of the Arabic Language as the language of the Quran.

Saskatoon Misbah School Academies curriculum will be sufficiently broad to allow students the opportunity to study a range of subjects including Quran, Islamic Studies, Arabic Language, English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Technology, Art and etc.

Saskatoon Misbah School is committed to teaching and enforcing high-quality academic standards. It is the goal of the academic program at Saskatoon Misbah School to encourage each student to reach his/her maximum learning potential in all subject areas. Saskatoon Misbah School will achieve this level of excellence by providing an instructional program that directly meets the needs of every student.

Islamic Curriculum

Our Islamic curriculum is consisting of the teaching and learning of the Quran, Arabic, and Islamic Studies. Quran encompasses the memorization and retention of Quranic Surahs and Ayats. Arabic encompasses Arabic vocabulary and grammar. Islamic studies encompass various strands of Islam, such as Islamic History, Seerah of Prophet Muhammad(ﷺ), Prophets and Companions stories, Aqeedah, Salaah, Du’as, and Fiqh.

SMS Character Personalities

We believe that character education is a basic ingredient in the education process and this component hasn’t received the needed attention in the traditional educational system. Therefore, the SMS staff has identified the following character personalities as important for the development of responsible citizenship. These character personalities are taught and practiced throughout the school year in a variety of specific lessons and settings.

Respect

Respect is the foundation for a safe and peaceful school environment that is conducive to learning. Respect may be further divided into respect for oneself, respect for others, and respect for property.

Responsibility

We have an obligation for our own thoughts, actions, and feelings, taking pride in our efforts and successes. It also means that we admit when there is a need for improvement. We apply what we have learned and make appropriate decisions.

Appreciation

Being grateful for the wonder and beauty of the world and its people.

Commitment

Being dedicated to learning, persevering, and showing self-discipline and responsibility.

Cooperation

We believe that by working together we will produce quality work and achieve academic excellence.

Creativity

Being innovative and imaginative in their thinking and in their approach to problems and dilemmas.

Having a strong desire about the nature of learning and of the world, its people, and cultures.
